WELLNESS CARE FOR YOUR BEST FRIEN
Regular veterinary care will help your companion enjoy a long, healthy life. Our wellness visits include a comprehensive physical exam, vaccinations based on your pet’s age and risk assessment, intestinal parasite screen, heartworm test and blood and urine tests to check the health of your pet’s internal organs. We also will discuss nutrition, dental care you can provide at home, exercise and preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites. Working in partnership with you, we can take a preventive approach that ensures your best friend gets the best care possible.
Our comprehensive surgical services include spays and neuters, soft-tissue surgery, and mass removals. Our doctor has a special interest in orthopedic surgery such as fracture repairs and cruciate ligaments. For your pet’s safety, we require a blood test before anesthesia for complex cases or older pets and strongly recommend testing for all surgical patients. We use the safest anesthesia available and monitor your pet’s heart rate, blood pressure and level of oxygen in the blood during surgery.
Our hospital provides your pet with a comfortable and caring atmosphere in which to receive both emergency and routine healthcare. Pets can add both joy and health benefits to your life. Here at Boonsboro Veterinary Hospital it is our privilege to keep your pets in the best of health.
